Accessibility Statement

WCAG 2.2 AA is the standard Phoenix Reels is built to. What meets it today, what does not, and how to report a problem.

Reviewed 4 September 2026

Our commitment

The goal is WCAG 2.2 AA everywhere, game clients included. Every release goes through an accessibility check rather than a once-a-year audit.

What we've done

  • Every control can be reached and used from the keyboard and shows a clear focus outline.
  • Body text contrast is at least 4.5:1, with 3:1 for large text and interface components.
  • Results are always stated in text, never only by colour or motion.
  • Reel spins, the wheel and every other animation honour prefers-reduced-motion.
  • Pages reflow down to 320px with no sideways scrolling and hold up at 200% zoom.

Known gaps

  • Plinko is rendered on a canvas: the outcome is announced in text, but screen readers cannot follow the ball itself.
  • Scratchcards still need a pointer to scratch; a keyboard “reveal all” button is scheduled for the next release.
  • Artwork from some partner studios carries only the game name as alternative text.
