One percent, no press release
Each quarter a fixed one percent of revenue leaves the company, most of it to organisations dealing with the harm our industry causes.
Where it goes
- GamCare — the National Gambling Helpline and treatment services, 35% of the fund.
- GambleAware — prevention, research and education, 25%.
- Childline (NSPCC) — 15%.
- Manchester food banks — 15%, shared between three Trussell Trust centres.
- Player-nominated causes — a tenth of the pot, chosen by a quarterly player vote.
Why gambling-harm services come first
We build games of chance. Nothing is at stake here, but the mechanics are cousins of products that hurt people. Funding the people who repair that harm is part of what running this honestly costs.
Nominate a cause
Players decide the tenth through a quarterly vote. Any charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, OSCR or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland can be nominated: send it via the contact form, topic “Something else”, opening line “charity nomination”, and it joins the ballot.
